Newsgames Hackathon 2015

Interactivity today has become a way of exploring current times in a more engaging way for its reader: visualization data makes its nest, while newgames and webdocumentaries are appearing more and more regularly. Following the success of the first European Newsgames Hackathon in Cologne in 2014, which will mobilize independents, game studios, and the event arrives in France within Nantes Digital Week, hosted at the sites of SciencesCom. In a team composed of journalists, designers and developers, the participants will launch, within 48 hours of production of newsgames around the news of choice. The visitors’ program is as follows: - Thursday the 24th, starting at 6.30 pm: Conference on the purpose of game use with today’s processes - 24th - 26th: Learn about the newsgame through an interactive display - Saturday the 26th, starting at 6.00 pm: Explore the projects made during the hackathon

Journalists and video game designers meet up to produce news based games in 48 hours. There will be an exhibition about the newsgame for visitors. The games created during the hackathon will be presented to the public on Saturday from 6.00 pm.
